The potential killer of my goals!

Towards the end of 2022, I made plans for 2023- how I intend to stay healthy and fit; ace my courses; seek spiritual growth; put in more work into my career, blogging and journaling and give love a chance in my life.

Guess what?

I’m not exactly close to attaining these goals and my major hindrance was fear.

Yeah, you read right- FEAR!

Fear of failure, fear of being broke, fear of relationships, fear of making mistakes, fear of missing out, fear of missing it, fear of wrong choices. However, I had a light bulb moment just few days ago. While having a rather deep discussion with my roomie, she had shared something apt. She said “When you experience fear, go back to the word of God. When God has made something beautiful, you’re not meant to fear it.” In other words, fear is not of God. Fear is not your future. In Christ Jesus, you’ve been set free- from fear. It is one thing to be told you’re free and it’s another to have the revelation and come into the consciousness of it.
So, when faced with fear and faith, choose faith. Faith over fear every single time.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
II Timothy 1:7 NKJV
