A new beginning!

Shrouded in darkness and a void so palpable

Was a world waiting

And then God said

"Let there be light"

And like a beautiful dream

All that is came to be.

What kind of light is this

That dispelled such darkness

You would ask.

That light is in the living word

Dwelt amongst men

The epitome of humility and love

Accused, arrested, beaten and hung on a cross

For a debt we owed.

Crucified and died

Undeservedly like a common criminal.

Just when the situation looked bleak,

The one they hoped would be king took his last breath.

Alas, he was six feet under.

But not for long

For on the third day he rose from the dead.

Jesus our saviour made a way for us,

We now live on earth with a hope for the future both here and in the world to come.

Eternal life we have inherited.

Ha ha ha

We laugh at the threat death used to be

Death where is your sting

Yes, the stone has been rolled away.

What a blessed hope!

What a fortunate people we are.

For we have been Redeemed

No longer slaves.

Now children of the Most High and bought by the blood of Jesus.

The blood which speaks better things than the blood of Abel!

Glory! Hallelujah!!
