How important is the Gospel?

 

The Gospel is the message of salvation, the gift of God. It is the message of the crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Sometimes, I fall into this thing where I trivialise the message. For instance, I'd want to talk about it on social media and next I'm thinking about how I've not spoken about the latest/ breaking news, or someone controversial who's trending on X or how my journey went or a book I've read. All these are not unimportant in of themselves but when placed side by side with the Gospel, it falls short. The gift of Jesus Christ is not trivial. It involves the soul of men. Its beyond life here. Its the all- time breaking news.

 

I want to always carry this consciousness everyday and everywhere I go. I hope you do too.
